Comparison of Fixation and Uptake of Split Skin Graft Using Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma with Conventional Method for Ulcer

چکیده
Platelet Rich Plasma contains a major Growth factor and has adhesive healing properties. PRP promotes angiogenesis, collagen synthesis, wound healing. The main aim of this study is to compare the efficacy SSG fixation using autologous platelet-rich plasma with conventional method like suturing. In study, patients who were admitted diagnosis ”ulcer” in General Surgery department SRM medical college hospital research centre included would be taken as subjects for study. It randomized, controlled sample size 60. Thirty people put group, another 30 suture group. Instant graft uptake ulcer was statistically significant seroma formation, number dressings period stay comparatively increased group than PRP. usage secure efficient ulcer. been discovered very advantageous many ways both patient surgeon. Based on what we found, recommend wounds before resurfacing help them heal better faster

Comparison between Conventional Mechanical Fixation and Use of Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in Wound Beds Prior to Resurfacing with Split Thickness Skin Graft
BACKGROUND Platelet rich plasma is known for its hemostatic, adhesive and healing properties in view of the multiple growth factors released from the platelets to the site of wound. The primary objective of this study was to use autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) in wound beds for anchorage of skin grafts instead of conventional methods like sutures, staplers or glue. METHODS In a single ...

Background: Healing involves complex processes that are not yet fully known. The wound healing process consists of three stages. In all these stages, normal wound healing requires platelet activation, release of cytokines and growth hormones, and chemotaxis and cell differentiation. Platelets play a key role in homeostasis and wound healing and growth factor production of more than 30 carried o...

Background. Chronic ulceration of the lower legs is a relatively common condition amongst adults: one that causes pain and social distress and results in considerable healthcare and personal costs. The technique of punch grafting offers an alternative approach to the treatment of ulcers of the lower limbs. Objective. Combining platelet-rich plasma and skin graft enhances the efficacy of treatin...
